       A simple first page from, & about, a standard human being, as of 6/24/99 (last rev. 7/24/00), with some thoughts & musings collected into somewhat coherent form.

       Trivial background: details that everyone expects.  They are not impressive to me; I hardly expect you to be impressed.  Nonetheless, background:
      Technical Writer is my current job at Compuware , though I've worked as a government civil servant work, and behind-the-scenes in professional video production, & painted houses, & humbly performed grunt labor.
       Education:  B.A., from U. Mich.  , Psychology (intended for grad work in experimental psych), with English (I'm a writer), & math through calculus & non-euclidean geometry (one needs completeness for balance.) No money for graduate school, but I continue to read extensively in areas related to Consciousness Studies, which includes psychology, physics, complexity studies, and various ancient wisdom and "new age" things.

       Son of a musician [dad] & surgical nurse [mom], I've played piano & read music since pre-school.  But hard sciences hold much of my attention, too.  At this stage [47] I eagerly pursue both interests at the same time that I weave them into my reading in the New Age & hard sciences [see complexity studies at Santa Fe Inst.  and see the ASSC link below.
